Ann Friedman

Ann Friedman is the founder and CEO of Planet Word, the world’s first museum dedicated to words and language. She has spent her life immersed in linguistics, starting out as a copy-editor, translator and champion of education. She worked as a reading and writing teacher in the Montgomery County Public Schools and served on several foundations and education-based advisory boards. She has several decades of experience in these areas and is still passionately active in them, remaining on many of these boards today.
